Participants will learn tactics for conducting investigations with criminal elements:
- Determining whether subject matter experts are needed and the proper scope
- Working with relevant stakeholders
- When or whether to call in law enforcement
- Drafting an investigative plan
- Modifying interview approaches to fit the facts
- Complexities of investigations involving elected or appointed officials
- Conducting investigations in a heavily unionized environment
