Miles Grillo

Miles Grillo joined PII as an investigator in 2017. While at PII, Grillo has worked as a mitigation specialist on death penalty cases involving defendants in Alaska, Arizona, and California. He has received specialized training on conducting trauma-informed interviews and has attended the Capital Case Defense Seminar. Grillo is also an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH).

Grillo has a background in computer research and assists PII’s team with all types of investigations, including mining information from social media, court records, real estate transactions, and other databases. Grillo has shared this expertise as a guest speaker at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, speaking on using social media as part of a thorough investigation.

Grillo also works on investigations of Title IX complaints involving campus sexual assaults and on investigations in the workplace involving sexual harassment, racial bias, and disability discrimination. Before joining PII, Grillo worked in the legal field on disability advocacy issues and in the computer industry. Grillo earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
