Workplace / Civil Investigations & Expert Witness Testimony

PII has conducted hundreds of high-profile investigations of civil matters involving board members, executives, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders facing allegations including embezzlement, conflicts of interest, wage and hour violations, discrimination, wrongful termination, and other serious misconduct across public agencies and private sector organizations.

Keith Rohman’s expert witness experience includes:

  • Testified in litigation filed by a legal nonprofit against a state’s Department of Corrections regarding the sufficiency of internal affairs investigations conducted by the department.
  • Assisted attorneys in litigation alleging fraud by an employee of a public agency operating a transportation system.
  • In a case alleging sexual harassment, reviewed an internal HR investigation as an expert to assist attorneys in decisions about whether to settle a matter or proceed to trial.

Campus / Title IX Investigations & Expert Witness Testimony

PII has conducted and overseen Title IX investigations involving sexual assault and misconduct allegations at dozens of colleges, universities, and K–12 districts throughout the Western United States.

Keith Rohman’s expert witness experience includes:

  • In a lawsuit filed against a major university, testified regarding the sufficiency of an investigation into potential violations of Title IX by a tenured professor.
  • In the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old high school cheerleader by a bus driver, served as the expert regarding the sufficiency of a high school human resources department’s investigation of the bus driver..
