Operations Manager & Investigator

Anetta Stark, AWI-CH, is an attorney who brings extensive experience investigating discrimination allegations, corporate fraud, and accounting fraud to workplace investigations. Additionally, she applies skills gained as the controller of a national non-profit and as the manager of operations and compliance at an accounting firm to PII’s operations.

Stark previously worked for PII in the late 1990’s, serving as an investigator and the firm’s operations manager. She was instrumental in helping senior management prepare the firm for growth by developing operating systems, streamlining office procedures, and managing human resources, tax compliance, and finances.

Most recently before rejoining PII, Stark practiced law at a boutique firm. In this capacity, she prepared litigation-related documents, memos recommending courses of action, and communications with potential claimants. She began her career as an attorney working for an international insurance company and then for a boutique civil law firm.

Career Highlights 

  • Investigated allegations of race discrimination at a major restaurant chain.
  • Investigated allegations of corporate financial malfeasance in the private sector.
  • Conducted a death penalty mitigation investigation in Germany, which involved traveling to Germany, tracking down and interviewing relatives and other potential witnesses, obtaining and translating witness affidavits, and presenting the affidavits to counsel.
